Bio
Sidney Bloch was born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1979. He graduated in Advertising and Marketing from the Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) in São Paulo, Brazil, in 2002.
Between 2000 and 2005, He worked as an assistant to some photographers across different fields and specialties. It was during this period that he immersed himself in the world of commercial photography, portraits to travel, architecture, food, and products.
His first major client was Forbes magazine, where he began working as a portrait photographer in 2003. In 2008, he founded his own photography studio in São Paulo, working with a wide range of clients, including Unilever, Hyatt, Monange, Houston Bikes, Matueté, Microsoft, SESC, FIESP, Pernod Ricard, Abbott, among many others.
In 2015, following the birth of his second child, he decided to move to Ilhabela in search of a better quality of life, there, new projects and experiences emerged, including six years living aboard a sailboat with his family, balancing his new lifestyle with his work on land as a photographer.
For three years, he sailed extensively along the Brazilian coast with his family, teaching people how to sail and leading offshore experiences and long-distance passages. He eventually returned to Ilhabela, where he is currently based and continues to pursue his work in photography.
